Come and Ori with us!
Ori means “dance” on the beautiful French Polynesian islands of Tahiti.

Never tried Tahitian dance before? Then this is the class for you!

In this class, weʻll develop a foundation of Ori Tahiti fundamentals to take you into Leolaniʻs Ori Tahiti class. We will learn the basic core steps, including faʻarapu, tamau, amaha, varu, hura, and afata as well as common traveling and turning variations. Youʻll also practice important Ori Tahiti terminology, posture, balance, and coordination, while pulling everything together in one ʻotea that you can practice at home or anytime you need a great warm up!

For first time dancers, this class is a prerequisite for joining Leolani’s Ori Tahitian Class.

Kendall began studying Hawaiian hula over 12 years ago in Phoenix, AZ where she was born and raised. Of Native Hawaiian descent and great-great-granddaughter to Kumu Hula Rose Joshua, she began dancing for the chance to connect with her own roots but soon found a passion unlike any other she had in her life.
