Piyoda (Pilates/Yoga/Dance): In this conditioning and strengthening class, expect to get stronger and more flexible while learning about body alignment. We will use sequences of Yoga and/or Pilates fused with fluid movements of Bellydance. Have fun and get ready for Summer!

Vanessa Verdoodt is the founder of Worldancearound and MaBellYoga. Born in Belgium, she also lived in Los Angeles and New York for 12 years. Before being introduced to Yoga in 2000, Vanessa already had a higher awareness of the body, the mind and the soul with her background in world dance and physical therapy. She started practicing various traditions of Yoga to ease her aching body and continued on by following Yoga philosophy in her daily practice of Dance and Yoga. Between 2000 and 2003, her training in well-being started in occupational therapy for post-stroke recovery patients with Dr. Bonnie Nakasuji.
Vanessa has taught at numerous high schools and universities in the USA, the European Parliament, David Lloyd and la Maison de La Creation to name a few in Belgium.
Between 2003 and 2007, she deepened her study in BKS Iyengar technique at Santa Monica College, Hatha Yoga and Pilates at UCLA, Vinyasa at Yoga Works in Los Angeles. In 2010, Vanessa attended seminars at Sivananda Ashram Bahamas on Yoga and Parenting. After giving birth in 2011, she completed her MaYoga advanced teacher training in Prenatal Yoga with Mia Borgatta in New York. She gave birth at home to Axe’Re who is her inspiration to teach other women the beauty of pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum through Prenatal MaBellYoga.
