Rosa Rojas

Rosa Rojas dancerRosa Rojas began her journey in sacred dance in 1995 studying with Katrina Burda founder and director of “Aywah” Middle Eastern dance company. This was an intense training in folk dances of Morocco Egypt, Macedonia, and Turkey. In 2000 she joined critically acclaimed central Asian ensemble “Ballet Afsaneh” director Sharlyn Sawyer showcasing dances of Tajikistan, Persia, Afghanistan, Uzbeck, and Azerbaijan. In 2006 Rosa traveled and lived in Tajikistan with the Ballet Afsaneh residency program “Tajik Dance Initiative” understanding and performing with “Padida Dance theater”.
